Gowoon Dar (고운달) means "the elegant moon". It is OmyNara's omija brandy: the omija wine is distilled twice in a copper still, then rests three years in baekja — Korean white porcelain.
The porcelain is the difference. Its fine pores let the spirit breathe but give it no colour, no tannin, no vanilla: it gets only time. What remains is the omija itself — acidity, blossom, a quiet herbal note. At 52% the fruit still arrives before the alcohol.

OmyNara
Omija | Five flavours of a special fruit from Korea.
Omija translates roughly as “five flavour fruit” and unites sweet, sour, salty, bitter and pungent in a single fruit. For centuries it was used in Korea as a medicinal plant; the classic medical text Dongeuibogam describes it as a remedy for hangovers, and King Yeongjo of the Joseon dynasty is said to have enjoyed it regularly as a tonic. Its botanical name, Schisandra chinensis, in older sources also Maximowiczia chinensis, hints at its former reputation in the West: a coveted spice from the Far East that eventually fell into oblivion because it simply could not be obtained.
